What coaching with me actually looks like

Three things happen on every call.

Step 01

You tell me the truth.

Not the polished version. The real one. What your drinking actually looks like on a Tuesday at 6 pm. The conversations you've been avoiding. The part you haven't said out loud yet. I've heard almost every version of it. There is nothing you can say that will surprise me.

Step 02

We figure out what's actually in the way.

It's almost never what you think it is. Sometimes it's a marriage. Sometimes it's a memory. Sometimes it's a 5 pm routine that's been running on autopilot for ten years. We name it together and we look at it without flinching.

Step 03

You leave with a plan.

Not a worksheet. Not a list of platitudes. A real next step you can take this week. Something specific, something doable, and something we can build on next time.

[ A little about me ]

I'm not a therapist. I'm a coach who's been where you are.

I drank for 21 years. Started at 15 at a graduation party. Quit at 36 on July 10, 2023. No rehab, no AA, no rock bottom — just a 75 Hard challenge that turned into a life I didn't think I'd get.

In the last 2 years I've coached hundreds of people through their first 30, 60, 90 days sober. I'm not a licensed therapist or medical provider. What I am is someone who's lived inside the problem you're describing, figured a way out, and built a method that works for other high-functioning people who can't or won't go the traditional route.

Before you book

The questions I get most.

How is this different from therapy?

Therapy goes deep on the past and is run by a licensed professional. Coaching is forward-focused, practical, and built around your specific sobriety goals. I am a coach, not a therapist — and I'll tell you the second I think therapy is what you actually need.

How is this different from AA?

AA is free, group-based, and built around the 12 steps and a higher power. Coaching is private, paid, and built around your specific situation. I'm not against AA — it works for a lot of people. This is just a different path for the people who know AA isn't theirs.

Do I need to be sober to start?

No. Most of my clients book their first session before they've stopped drinking. We start where you are.

What if I relapse during our work together?

We keep going. Relapse is information, not failure. We figure out what happened, what we missed, and what we adjust. The work doesn't stop when the streak breaks.

Are sessions virtual or in person?

All sessions are virtual — Zoom or phone, your choice. I work with clients across the US.

Can my partner / parent / friend join a session?

Single sessions are 1-on-1. If we end up working in a package and want to bring someone in for a specific session, we can talk about it then. The first session is yours alone.

I'm in crisis — should I book a session?

No. Please call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or SAMHSA's helpline at 1-800-662-4357 (free, 24/7, confidential). Coaching is not crisis care. Book once you're safe.

What's your refund policy?

Single sessions are non-refundable once booked but can be rescheduled with 24 hours notice. Packages are non-refundable after the first session is delivered. If a package isn't working for you, talk to me — we'll figure it out.
